Flower Arrangements for a Beautiful Wedding Venue

June 12, 2014

Floral arrangement

Hosting a wedding reception is an exciting, although stressful job. In fact there are a lot of things to be done, but the process itself attracts the enthusiasm of everyone concerned. Next to the wedding ceremony, the wedding reception serves as another focal point of the wedding day. This is the time for friends and family to celebrate, reminisce to how the love affair blossomed and bloom, and look forward for happy-ever-after moments that the wedding couple will share in the years to come. Wedding receptions may vary, depending on how much you are willing to spend. If you are tight on your budget, you may opt for simple reception with minimal floral decors. Meanwhile, if you have enough cash to splurge on this occasion, perhaps, you would want to make the reception venue akin to rose garden, with buds everywhere and sweet scent filling the air. True, there’s something about flowers that make everything in your wedding more romantic and special. One focal point on your wedding reception is your table, so it’s really important to carefully consider the floral decors for your buffet reception table. There has to be a color coordination to give visual unity and excitement.

Floral accents for the cake and cake table, serving table, buffet table, and guest table all require floral decorations. Your guest book or registration area will also look even more beautiful with floral arrangements added to it. Larger floral designs, arches and other decorations are also needed to add the visual appeal in the venue.

When the wedding reception is planned as sit-down lunch or dinner, the bridal party usually has a table of their own. It is important to provided attractive floral arrangement for this table because this is where the eyes of the guests are all set at. That is why it should be placed focally and decorated in such a way that it will stand out prominently. The flower arrangement should also differ with that of guest tables. It should not be that elaborate though so as not to deviate attention from the wedding couple. It should be kept low so that guests will not find it difficult to take a peek at the couple. However, just one type or hue of flower should be used, whether it’s the executive table or guests’ tables. Meanwhile, guest tables should carry on the theme of the venue. As with the type of buffet table centerpiece, you should consider the size and shape of the table first so that the arrangement doesn’t have to look awkward but rather enhance the appeal of the table.

The buffet table should also not be left out. Among the favored floral decors include loose flowers and petals. Know first if guests will have to serve themselves from one or both sides of the buffet so you’ll know where to put the floral arrangement: whether on both sides or just on one side. The buffet table arrangements are usually elaborate enough but not too grand to give emphasis on the table.
